Católicas por el Derecho a Decidir México (CDD Mexico) provides this Accessibility Declaration for the www.catolicas mexico.org website.

Through this declaration, MODII/IWORDS Communication certifies that it conducted a thorough accessibility audit of the www.catolicasmexico.org website and it addressed the accessibility errors it found.

  • Legibility: MODII/IWORDS Communications evaluated the fonts used on the website and verified that they met the legibility criteria and were of a reasonable size to ensure the content is legible.
To meet these accessibility measures, efforts included:
  • Image descriptions: to ensure that people who cannot see the images know what they are conveying.
  • Video transcriptions: to ensure that people who cannot see the video know the visual scenes and people who cannot hear it know the dialogues and the auditory scenes.
  • Content hierarchy: MODII/IWORDS Communications established a structured heading hiearchy.
  • Ensuring semantic content corresponds: MODII/IWORDS Communications guaranteed that visually formatted content corresponded semantically in terms of the code. This ensures that assistive technologies understand their purpose.
  • Creating accessible forms: tags were added to the form fields, in addition to messages notifying of errors when completing information.

Together with the CMS, there are themes and plugins that do not always consider accessibility. The theme and plugins have been configured to ensure the content is presented in an accessible way. However, elements may cease to function due to the constant updates.
  2. Alternative text in images: some images lack meaningful alternative text given the extensive amount of content that has been uploaded over the years. We will continue working with the team to solve this issue.
