With reflections and images of maternity, we shared a homage to our grandmothers and mothers, who, through their own lives, have told us that maternity is not easy, that it is a serious decision and that it must be a loving, voluntary action.
Subsequently, through the creation of handkerchiefs in various sizes, we carried out direct actions at national and international levels, with the support of colleagues and allies who respond to the claim that voluntary motherhood, as an ethical inspiration that founds a self-responsible subject, is a requirement of democratic societies that demystifies childbearing as a ‘natural’ fact or a gift from heaven, and poses it as a choice, a loving act that requires desire, commitment, and work.
Divinity consults, understands, asks, requests, summons, invites Mary to be the mother of God. It does not snatch, does not impose, does not invade, does not violate her will.
Mary was consulted to be the mother of God!
