In the context of the 6th World Meeting of Families, held in Mexico City in January 2009, Catholics for the Right to Decide launched the campaign No todas las familias son iguales [Not all families are the same]. Donde hay amor, hay familia [Where there is love, there is family]. This campaign emerged from the need to share with our parishioners that the family model that the hierarchy of the Catholic Church presents to us is not the same one that Jesus knew and promoted. Jesus’ family has other values and an ethic in which there is no father figure, everyone is a brother or sister of Jesus. That is why we consider that there is not a unique model of the Christian family. Jesus himself did not marry, did not have children, and, when asked about his family he answered that it was “whoever does God’s will”.
NOT ALL FAMILIES ARE THE SAME.
WHERE THERE IS LOVE, THERE IS FAMILY.
